Case Officer: Emma Ridley
Decision: Refused - Change of Use
This decision is subject to the following conditions:
The proposed demolition of any of the outbuildings and the boundary wall would be unacceptable due to the loss of a listed structure and the detrimental impact of the character and appearance of the Conservation Area. In addition the design of the replacement modern addition does not reflect its surroundings in terms of materials, craftsmanship and design. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies ENV13 (Alterations to Listed Buildings), ENV14 (Settings of Listed Buildings) and ENV12 (Conservation Areas) of the adopted Wychavon District Local Plan 2006. The proposal also fails to comply with paragraphs 132 and 133 of the National Planning Policy Framework with regard to the loss of heritage assets of the valued wall and outbuildings themselves being part of the Grade II Listed Building.
